China Overseas Learning Experience Program, 2017
Thank you for supporting our annual Multicultural Out of Uniform Day. Not only did the day launch Cultural Diversity Week, but it also supported our Team China ambassadors. Students looked incredible.
Team China students, Milana, Sasha and Tyler, with chaperoning teacher Mrs Walkden, will visit our sister school, Xingwan School in Suzhou, China in May. They will join a number of students from across Bendigo later this year.
Congratulations to our Team China students this year, Milana, Sasha and Tyler, who will be chaperoned by Mrs Walkden on their trip to visit our sister school Xingwan School in Suzhou, China. Our Team China delegates will join with a number of students from primary schools in Bendigo on this trip in May.
Our students are busy. They are polishing their language with the help of the HanBan Teachers, organising events, like the Multicultural Dress Up Day, raising the profile of the OSLE Program and becoming Maiden Gully Primary School Ambassadors.
Bendigo Team China Sister School Project Showcase Video
We are excited to announce the link to the Case Study sharing the story of Bendigo Team China on the Victorian DEECD website.
Bendigo Team China is a unique networked sister school arrangement, with 14 Bendigo primary schools partnering with Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Sister Schools in China. This partnership allows our students to experience another culture through activities such as teacher professional learning, student reciprocal visits, and language learning.

2014 Immersion Program
Our visitors from Xingwan School in Suzhou, China have been with us for eight weeks in Term Four for an Immersion Learning Experience. We would like to thank Cici, Alice, Angel, Justin and their teacher, Doreen, for the wonderful way they have joined in and become part of the Maiden Gully community in that time. We hope they have enjoyed their time here and learnt a lot about life in Australia.
We would like to thank all of our families and staff involved in hosting and providing "Aussie" experiences with our visitors.
Overseas Learning Experience, China, May 2016
Our small group participating in this year's Overseas Learning Experience to Suzhou, China thoroughly enjoyed their time in Shanghai and Suzhou. They were really pleased to catch up with our exchange students from last year from Xingwan School, who even came in Maiden Gully PS school uniform. How lovely to see some familiar faces!

Maiden Gully Primary School would like to welcome our visiting students, Nancy, Terry, Fiona and Ruby and their teacher Mei Qi (Mick) from our sister school, Xingwan School in Suzhou, China.
The students are here for eight weeks and we'd like to thank our local host families for supporting this exchange. The students are settling into the Australian lifestyle like ducks to water. It is a wonderful opportunity for all involved!
What was said about OSLE in 2014
Our Team China Ambassadors continue to represent our school and make us proud. Towards the end of term, Miss Weston and Annalee spoke of their trip on local ABC Radio. Click below to listen to their interview.
Team China Trip to Shanghai and Suzhou
In Term 2 this year, we were excited to have five students, Caelan, Brianna, Hayley, Eliza and Annalee, and a teacher, Miss Weston, head to China with a group of students and teachers from 12 Bendigo schools. We had the opportunity to see the sights of Shanghai, before traveling to Suzhou to spend some time in our sister school.
This was a wonderful opportunity for our students and after returning to Maiden Gully with a wealth of new knowledge and experiences we are enjoying sharing our trip with our school community.
